One Day of Giving
It is hard to believe, but it has been ten years since the Kelley Cares Foundation opened our first project, the Kelley Cares Multi-Sensory Room.
While the room has seen a lot of love during these ten years, it has also seen a lot of wear and tear. Please consider donating during Spring2ACTion tomorrow to help bring in new pieces of equipment to refresh the space!
Miracle League Baseball Is Back!
We can't wait for bright, sunshiny days filled with baseball, and friends and family cheerleading from the stands.
The spring season of the Miracle League is just around the corner. Cheer on participants of the Miracle League as they take the field this Wednesday, April 20 at 4:30pm for the Youth Home Opener, and this Saturday, April 23 at 12:30pm for the Adult Home Opener (with an exciting new addition that will be unveiled before the game - see below). As always, games will be held at the Kelley Cares Miracle Field (located at the Lee Center in Alexandria at 1108 Jefferson Street).
Mural Dedication this Saturday
We are excited to unveil our newest addition to the Kelley Cares Miracle Field this Saturday! The mural was inspired by the Courage Wall, a project launched last year by Alexandria resident and business owner Nancy Belmont. Artist Matt Corrado created a vibrant design with the words, "Courage to Live BIG."
The colorful, larger-than-life art will face the Kelley Cares Miracle Field. The Theme of the wall - the Courage to Live Big - particularly applies to the special needs players in the Miracle League Program. Every day, they show the courage to face life's challenges and keep moving forward.
